I didn't turn my blog black today, nor did I change my twitter icon.

While I agree and encourage protest, I submit the fight is on the wrong battlefield.

SOPA/PIPA/OPEN and the new ICANN rules are bought and paid for by the mainstream entertainment industries.

The majority of your government representatives do as they are told by their overlords. The very same companies who finance their (re) election campaigns and give them broadcast airtime.

Turning off our own 'entertainment' and information plays right into their hands. I'm sure they're laughing their heads off right now, giggling with glee at how stupid the sheep are.

If you want to really protest, hit them were it hurts.

Follow the money.

Stop going to movies, stop buying DVD's and downloading songs from iTunes. Stop watching television.

Do that for a month and you'll really have their attention.
